Description
Our Client is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a position in the Inside Sales team. The successful inside sales candidate will be responsible for driving new business through the sale of a portfolio of Desktop software products in European markets. In this role, the Inside salesperson will display exemplary customer service and meet the needs of new and existing clients. The Inside Sales position is focused on making out bound calls to identify new sales opportunities within their customer set, generating revenue by driving these opportunities through the sales cycle to closure. Ideal candidates will possess a strong sales aptitude with a willingness to perform sales campaigns with pharmaceutical and biotech companies. This position will be based out of Cary, NC.
Essential Duties
- Prospect, develop, plan, and close sales in designated European territory.
- Meet or exceed quota by selling drug development desktop software licenses and training to new and current customers in an assigned territory.
- Make out bound calls to identify new sales opportunities.
- Respond to Desktop software inquiries.
- Develop relationships with new and existing clients, decision makers, PhD scientists, IT and senior management teams in pre-clinical, DMPK, clinical, and formulation departments.
- Accurately record all client communications and opportunity updates in sales force automation system (SalesForce.com).
- Gather market intelligence and relay to management in order to improve offerings and communication for local market needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Science, Engineering, Statistics, or other related discipline.
- One to three years of successful sales experience, preferably within technical or biotech. Knowledge of PK/PD a plus.
- Excellent communication skills including both verbally and written.
- A proven history of meeting quota in a sales environment.
- Prior experience interfacing with pre-sales scientists, direct sales reps, product development and a variety of customer departments or representatives.
- Self-motivated professional with ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Working knowledge of salesforce.com and/or database experience with equivalent systems.
- Ability to manage bookings forecasts to reliable and timely closure.
- Must be able to multitask and have strong organizational skills.
- Fluency in English required. Additional fluency in German and/or other languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of Drug Development process and PK/PD is preferred.
